There are so many things I can say of my experience of having a Doula in my labor, and one of them is that Regina Higgs (Gina) is made for this. She definitely knows what she’s doing, the confidence that she transmits is contagious. My family and I are very grateful for all the support she gave us on the big day, it was like an angel sent from God. I really recommend this Doula because on those moments you need someone to have your back so you can focus more in the moment you will see your baby’s face. Thank you Gina!
Gina aka Auntie Gina was amazing! Found her while searching online and immediately connected during our first call. She is so down to Earth and makes the entire experience so pleasant. This was my first child and she made sure to educate me on all my options and the process. She did in home visits and was always a text/call away. When I was induced, she was there in the hospital advocating for me and making sure the hospital staff knew my birth plan. I was terrified of labor but Gina’s methodology really changed the game. I’ll forever remember “ride the wave” for my contractions. I appreciate Gina so much and will definitely use her again for baby number 2!
Auntie G was AMAZING with our 2nd birth. I wish she could have been with us for our first. She gave us helpful resources from the very beginning and postpartum. You will not regret having her by your side on your pregnancy and birth journey. So many laughs and joyful moments. Do not hesitate to have her with you! Seriously you need an Auntie G to be your guiding light when it feels as though no one else seems to get you during your pregnancy, birth, and as a mom. We love her!
Mama bear Gina is truly amazing to work with. I hired her around 32 weeks of pregnancy for my 2nd birth, and it was by far one of the best decisions my husband and I made! We had 2 prenatal visits with Gina before I delivered, and each time she walked into our home with such a loving, warm, and joyful personality ❤️. She always came in with her bright smile and spontaneous, yet funny stories. There was seriously never a dull moment with her. One thing I loved most working with Gina, was the fact that she could be so bubbly and animated one moment, and then kick right into gear when it came down the real deal. She literally owned that labor and delivery room. Her whole demeanor changed to be a bit more assertive to make sure the hospital staff were on board with my birthing plan. Her knowledge of medical terminology was great! She helped explain certain things to me in a way that I could better understand even throughout all my labor pains. I seriously commend her as my laboring lasted HOURSSSS! I'm sure she was tired, but she stood up with me in the wee hours of the morning, helping me cope with my labor pains, doing counter pressure with me and switching up my positions. Because of Gina, I was able to successfully have a VBAC 😊!! Seriously, without her knowledge, guidance and encouragement, I don't think I would've been able to do it without her. Thank you so much Gina 🥰❤️!! I'll be sure to hire you again if ever baby #3 decides to come into existence lol.
Gina is amazing! She is part of the family now. This was my first pregnancy she made me and my husband feel supported and informed during the pregnancy and labor. She is definitely Mamabear 💜💕
Gina is an angel and you should not hesitate to hire her as your doula! She helped me achieve my goal of 100% drug free natural child birth and was instrumental in guiding me (and my husband) through delivery. Words cannot describe how highly I recommend her services!!
Gina was amazing! She answered all my questions through out my pregnancy and was so encouraging and helpful through my birth. She checked up on us regularly and always has helpful things even when I didn’t know I needed something. I highly recommend her!!!
Definitely recommend her services!! Gina and I connected through labor of love doula services💕 having her as a doula helped me achieve the natural/ unmedicated birth I've always envisioned. My first birthing experience was very traumatic ending in an unexpected emergency c-section💔 This time I wanted to avoid any unnecessary interventions, so I knew I had to hire a labor assistant, who understood what I wanted to achieve this second time around, especially because I was going for an unmedicated VBAC, which is unfavorable in many hospitals. Gina understood exactly the birth I wanted and was very supportive of it. I hired her at 28 weeks and leading up until it was time for baby to be born, she was very consistent with answering any questions I had and very knowledgeable of the birth I wanted to achieve. When I went into active labor I contacted her right away and she met me at the hospital in less than 20 mins after I arrived, considering we both lived about 45mins from hospital. My labor progressed pretty quickly but because of babies position the pushing phase went on for hourrss 😩 literally lol. I was getting restless and relentless, the pain was becoming unbearable, I thought the birth I envisioned was going to end in another c-section😕 Gina reassured me that I was going to for sure push this baby out and that's exactly what happened! She was not only helpful physically but also emotionally and spiritually. Her words of encouragement help put my mind at ease. I will forever be grateful for her support while giving birth to my first son💙
Gina was great! During labor and delivery, she made sure all questions were answered and everything that the hospital staff was doing was explained to us. It was comforting to have her there. This experience was priceless.
We appreciate Gina so much for providing her doula support services. We truly felt like she was invaluable to our baby's delivery. She was so encouraging and knowledgeable, and she captured photos of moments and memories we otherwise would definitely not have.... Priceless. We are grateful to have been able to share that very special moment with her!
Gina is an ANGEL! She was right by my side through my first birth and the first few days! She was so helpful and comforting. I am so happy I chose her to be my doula.
Auntie Gina is amazing!!! I’m so happy we decided on getting a doula, she was so helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth experience and without her it wouldn’t have had been possible. When the tough contractions came, she knew the right pressure points to tackle and it was such a relief. 10/10 recommend!!!! We love auntie Gina 💕
Gina was an amazing doula to me in the birth of my 4th baby. She is proactive, attentive, and super positive. She went above and beyond for me and I highly recommend her!
I would not have been able to push through in labor and achieve my desire of a natural birth without Gina! I felt well prepared for my birth as in our sessions before labor, she had a handbook that gave a lot of information around labor and its stages as well as different techniques to manage pain that we practiced. We went over a birth plan, but also if my ideal situation didn’t happen, other options so I could make sound decisions for myself. She was reliable and responsive to any questions I had outside of our sessions too. In the days leading up to my due date she would check in with us and recommend things to do during that time such as the Miles circuit. When I felt I needed to go to the hospital in the early hours of the morning, she picked up the phone ready to jump in to her supportive role. As prepared as I felt, my labor ended up being long as my contractions weren’t progressing as strongly as they needed to and not only did I not want an epidural but the epidural likely would’ve slowed my progression even more. She was so helpful with coaching me and being a support to not only me but my husband as well on how we could work through this unexpected hiccup. Members of the staff at the hospital commented on how impressed they were with how I was able to work through the techniques Gina recommended and birth my baby. I absolutely loved the exhilaration and empowered feeling I felt being able to accomplish my natural birth and I am grateful that Gina was my doula. 10s across the board for her!
I was absolutely terrified at the thought of a natural (vaginal) birth. With such little time between finding Gina as my doula and having to give birth, I didn’t think I would be mentally prepared to have my baby. Gina absolutely helped all of those doubts and fears melt away. I was in labor for 57 hours and because of her help with preparation, I was able to go 24 hours through contractions on my own at home, while cleaning and doing laundry lol. She helped put me in positions that took so much of the pain away, as well as know the perfect pressure points when massaging to relieve pain. Because of her, I am confident in growing my family someday.
My husband and I had Gina as our doula in Fall 2022. As a first time mom, it was important to me to have an extra support person versed in childbirth to help guide us through this experience. Gina was absolutely wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable, professional but still super personable and really vibed well with me and my family. She helped me establish techniques that were instrumental in me being able to stick to my natural labor and Unmedicated birth plan. I would definitely recommend her care :)
When the doula I initially hired fell through, I was very fortunate to find Regina as my backup labor support doula. As one can imagine, I was anxious about securing another doula a month and a half before my due date. This was my first baby and I had some fears about pursuing a natural delivery and feeling advocated for. However, I was very much reassured when I got to interview Regina. She seemed like the perfect fit! She was super energetic and involved from day 1, and promptly arranged to meet to discuss our labor plans with my husband and I. Our meetings were very informative. We discussed in length our birth plan, any desired interventions and practiced comfort techniques and positions. She also followed up with me weekly, which made me feel extremely cared for. When I went in to labor, she was just a text/a phone call away, inquiring about how I was coping and advising me when to go to the hospital assuring us that she would be en route when the time came. Even though my labor and delivery didn’t turn out exactly as expected (I eventually had to have a C-section) I am forever grateful that Regina was there for me. She helped me put all of the skills I learned to practice, during my lengthy and exhausting labor. Despite everything I felt very accomplished that I was able to let my body do the what it was made to do for as long as I was able. And the end result was the birth of my beautiful healthy baby girl. Regina continued to check on me well after the delivery and scheduled a postpartum visit where we discussed, healing and coping post partum, breast feeding hacks and even baby wearing. For anyone that is seeking a caring and compassionate labor person, look no further, Regina is the doula for the job. I highly recommended her for your labor support needs and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again in the future.
We couldn’t have asked for a more attentive doula than Auntie Gina! As first time parents, Gina kept us grounded during the entire process. We simply cannot sing her praises high enough. She fit perfectly into our plans and felt like a kindred spirit from jump. Gina allowed us a tremendous amount of grace and went to bat for us something special during our delivery. Have is a number of options to help prepare for delivery and sat with us through a few false alarms. If you’re looking for someone that is going to advocate for YOU, your needs and what’s best for your family Auntie Gina is the one! Should we decide have another addition to the family it’s Gina to the rescue!
